December, 2013 :: Salvation Army Angel Trees
This upcoming Christmas season idGROUP staff have adopted 50 angels and 13 forgotten angels for the Salvation Army’s annual Angel Tree program. Thanks to the kind folks at our office, that’s 309 gifts for area kids who otherwise might not have gotten much this Christmas.
July, 2013 :: Senior Source Outreach
For this month’s community service a number of us visited The Renaissance at Kessler Park, a local retirement community. We put on a sock hop, ice cream and bingo social for the residents as part of an outreach program created by The Senior Source.
We had a great time visiting with the residents, and by all accounts they enjoyed the visit as much as we did! Thanks to everyone who participated in brining a little joy to the daily routine of some of our lovely DFW seniors!
June, 2013 :: Meals on Wheels
We raised $301 yesterday by brown bagging lunch and donating our dining-out money to Meals on Wheels!
The Visiting Nurse Association’s Meals on Wheels program provides a nutritious, freshly prepared, hot meal to Dallas County residents who are unable to provide or prepare their own meals due to illness, advanced age, or disability. These meals are prepared in VNA’s Beatrice M. Haggerty Kitchen and nearly 4,000 volunteers then deliver the meals to the homes of Meals on Wheels clients, along with kind words and a caring spirit. Over one million meals every year are delivered to seniors who are homebound or dining at senior centers in Dallas County.

March, 2013 :: Habitat for Humanity
Several volunteers from the idGROUP went to help Habitat for Humanity “Raise the Walls” for the latest Dallas Project. Braving the cold and the using large power tools, our team made the most of their construction skills and helped a family’s dreams become a reality.
February, 2013 :: Annual Chili Cook-off
Thank you all so much for your help with the chili cook off this year! We had more dessert and chili entries than ever before.
The Dallas Police Department had their judging work cut out for them. In case you didn’t stick around for the results…

We raised over $600 this year for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure Team at the idGROUP.
January, 2013 :: Verizon Hopeline
The idGROUP and our friends in the community helped collect 17 cell phones, 23 power cords and a few other accessories for Verizon HopeLine for this worthy cause. Thanks to everyone who contributed and helped make an effort to put an end to domestic violence!
About Hopeline: Wireless phones and technology can serve as a vital link to emergency or support services in a time of crisis or as a reliable, safe connection to employers, family and friends as survivors rebuild their lives. HopeLine® from Verizon turns no-longer used cell phones into support for domestic violence victims and survivors.
